GV Prakash Kumar is one of the leading music directors in the Tamil film industry. He has also composed music for other language films including Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada and Telugu. The director made his debut with the film Veyil and won critical acclaim from his first film in 2016. The music director then delivered multiple hit projects over the years including Polladhavan, Kuselan, Aayirathil Oruvan, Madrasapattinam, Adukalam, Paradesi, Kaakka Muttai, Visaranai, Asuran, Thalaivi, and his recent film was Vaathi. He is also the music composer of the upcoming Tamil film Rudhran. He won the National Award for Original Score for the film Soorarai Pottru. He has also acted in many films as the lead.
Mythri Movie Makers that backed the blockbuster hit film of last year Pushpa - The Rise have announced their next project. The project will be directed by Venky Kudumula, with Telugu actor Nithiin and well-known actress Rashmika Mandanna as the female Lead. The trio are joining together after the hit film Bheeshma was released in 2020. The announcement video also featured GV Prakash Kumar showing he will be the music director for the film. The short version of the announcement video posted on social media shows Rashmika Mandanna, Nithin and GV Prakash standing around a round table and the director approaches them saying a sorry for being late. Then as the director says The script the ready. The artists curiously ask him if it's an entertainer or a love story or a film like his previous projects and the Director says this will be different.
