Actor-producer Vishal will be joining hands with director Adhik Ravichandran of Trisha Illana Nayanthara fame for his new film to be produced under Vinod Kumar's Mini Studios banner. Touted to be a mass action venture, the upcoming film will also include blockbuster filmmaker turned actor S. J. Suryah as the villain, with the team on Saturday evening announcing the title on the occasion of New Year's celebrations. Taking to social media, Vishal said that his new film, initially tentatively called Vishal 33, has been titled as Mark Antony, with the actor also sharing an intriguing title look poster and informing that production will flag off from February 2022. Check out Vishal's tweet below:

Apart from being announced to be coming out in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada languages, Mark Antony is generating massive interest as it has Vishal and S. J. Suryah sharing screen space for the first time together on the big screen. Vishal is fresh off the success of his Enemy, which also starred Arya as the villain and was incidentally produced by Vinod Kumar's Mini Studios banner. Likewise, S. J. Suryah too is basking in the high praise being showered upon him for his electrifying performance in his negative role in Silambarasan TR's Maanaadu directed by Venkat Prabhu. It will be interesting to witness the dynamic of both Vishal and S. J. Suryah in Mark Antony and we can expect more from the team once the shooting begins rolling.

Mark Antony is also an important film for director Adhik Ravichandran as he is awaiting the release of his adult psychological thriller Bagheera starring Prabhu Deva, including Kadhalai Thedi Nithya Nandha, which has G. V. Prakash Kumar in the lead role. As for Vishal, he will be seen next in the action film Veerame Vaagai Soodum, which has been announced for a worldwide theatrical release on January 26, 2022. He also has in his pipeline ventures like the cop-action drama Laththi, including his directorial debut Thupparivaalan 2, which will see him reprising his Kaniyan Poongundran character, with music by 'Isaignani' Ilaiyaraaja.
