Leading Tamil actor-producer Vishal's next big film, Laththi, announced to come out in cinemas worldwide on December 22, is one of the most-awaited Tamil ventures of the year. Billed to be a mass action-packed entertainer, the upcoming film will see him playing the role of a police officer after he donned the khakhi on the big screen in films like Satyam (2008), Ayogya (2019), and Veeramae Vaagai Soodum, released in February this year. With less than a couple of weeks before the theatrical release, Vishal has made an announcement informing fans that the Laththi trailer will be unveiled on Monday, December 12 at 5 p.m. Below is the Laththi trailer release date announcement:

Laththi directed by debutant A. Vinoth Kumar has been produced by actors Ramana and Nandha under their RaNa Productions banner and has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja. There has been quite a lot of buzz surrounding the film ever since it rolled into production, with the team sharing behind-the-scenes showing the extent to which Vishal has gone to get the intense action sequences done right, while also injuring himself in the process. The making videos and the Laththi teaser released sometime back gave a glimpse of an action scene in a high-rise apartment complex still under construction where the actor is shown to be taking on hundreds of goons. The film's action has been overseen by stunt choreographer Peter Hein, who along with several junior artistes and fight coordinators, had meticulously planned the entire scene.

Vishal i sharing screen space with Sunaina for the second time after they previously starred in Samar in 2013, while veteran actor Prabhu is cast in a pivotal role. The film is a pan-Indian venture and will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Hindi languages. Laththi is also the twelfth film for the Vishal-Yuvan combo after they collaborated previously in Sandakozhi, Thimiru, Thamirabarani, Theeratha Vilayattu Pillai, Avan Ivan, Poojai, Irumbu Thirai, Sandakozhi 2, Chakra, and Veeramae Vaagai Soodum, and there's quite a lot of excitement on what the duo has now come up with.
