Vishal is currently shooting for his next action packed thriller, Laththi which is directed by debutant A Vinoth Kumar. The film will feature Vishal playing a police officer and the film is loaded with gritty and intense action sequences. Vishal had recently got injured while shooting for one of the action sequences and the visuals of him experiencing the pain and undergoing treatment went viral on social media. That being said, the makers have now released a new set of stills from the film and this glimpse gives us a brief outlook about the movie.

From what we see, it looks like Laththi will have raw, gritty, and intense action sequences that will keep the audiences glued to their seats and Vishal seems to have given it all for the character. Sharing the new pictures on his official Twitter page, Vishal tweeted, "From the sets of #Laththi - coming soon #World_Wide in theatres near u #Laatti #LaththiCharge #ShootDiaries #ActionPacked @RanaProduction0". A Vinoth Kumar who has earlier worked with director Gaurav Narayanan of Sigaram Thodu fame is directing this film that is bankrolled by actors Ramana and Nandha under the banner of RaNa Productions.

Yuvan Shankar Raja will be composing music for this film and he will be collaborating with Vishal for the 12th time with this one. Sunainaa plays the female lead in this film marking her second outing with Vishal after Samar. Balasubramaniem has handled the cinematography while the editing and stunt choreography departments are headed by Srikanth NB and Peter Hein respectively. Scheduled to hit the screens on August 12, the shooting of the film is nearing the finish line. Following Laththi, Vishal will be joining hands with director Adhik Ravichandran of Trisha Illana Nayanthara fame for a new film titled Mark Antony which will have SJ Suryah playing the key antagonist.
