Leading Tamil film actor and producer Vishal's house was attacked by unknown individuals on Monday night, September 26. The culprits appeared in a red car and threw stones at the Irumbu Thirai star's Anna Nagar residence shattering a window, with a photo of the extent of the damage also now being released officially. Visuals of the incident have been captured by the CCTV camera at Vishal's home and the actor's manager Harikrishnan has filed a complaint at the K-4 Anna Nagar police station. The shocking incident took place when Vishal was not present at his home as he had been busy shooting for his upcoming film outside Chennai. This violent incident has left fans of the actor in a big shock as many have taken to social media to express their support for him. As of now, the reason for the attack on his house and the identity of the absconding individuals behind the act remains unknown. 

On the work front, Vishal is currently awaiting the release of Laththi, which is currently in the post-production stages, and will see him as a police officer, who is paired opposite Sunainaa. The film marks the directorial debut of A. Vinoth Kumar and has been produced by actors Ramana and Nandaa under their RaNa Productions banner, with music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Vishal is currently filming Mark Antony, which is being directed by Adhik Ravichandran of Trisha Illana Nayanthara and Anbanavan Asaradhavan Adangadhavan fame. The film is said to be a high-octane action venture and also has SJ Suryah playing the antagonist after his stellar performance in Silambarasan TR's Maanaadu, with Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal actress Ritu Varma cast as the female lead, while G. V. Prakash Kumar is the music director. Vishal's directorial debut Thupparivaalan 2 is still in active production and filming is expected to commence after the actor completes his ongoing commitments.
