Virata Parvam is a Telugu period romantic action drama film written and directed by Venu Udugula, and produced by Suresh Productions and Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Cinemas. The film stars Sai Pallavi and Rana Daggubati in lead roles while Priyamani, Nandita Das, Naveen Chandra, Zarina Wahab, Easwari Rao, and Sai Chand take on supporting roles.

The film which hit the screen on 17 June 2022 opened to positive reviews from both fans and critics alike. The post-theatrical streaming rights of Virata Parvam were acquired by Netflix. So those who were not able to catch the film on the big screen, worry not, as there is now some great news. Netflix India South made an official announcement saying the film will be available to watch on their OTT platform in Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam.

The film is set in the 1990s amidst the backdrop of the Naxal movement in the Telangana state. The movie portrays the life of a woman named Vennela (Sai Pallavi) who is caught up in love and revolution. Vennela falls in love with Comrade Ravanna alias Dr. Ravi Shankar (Rana Daggubati), a revolutionary leader. She joins Ravanna later, and the main plot of the movie is unveiled thereafter.

On the work front, Rana Daggubati is producing several shows for SonyLIV, including Case Files of Hemanth Rao. Rana recently finished filming his Netflix crime drama series Rana Naidu. Sai Pallavi, on the other hand, will be seen next in Gargi, which is being presented by Jyotika and Suriya’s production company 2D Entertainment.
