Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan starrer Vikram is still roaring loud at the box office and is showing absolutely no signs of slowing down one bit! The film is still going strong and continues to attract the audience leading them to rush into theatres to catch this sensational flick. With its immense success, Vikram has already become the biggest ever earner in the history of Tamil cinema, overtaking previous blockbusters such as 2.0 and Baahubali: The Conclusion.

The film's digital rights were acquired by Disney+Hotstar which has started streaming the film in Tamil and dubbed versions of Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada languages as well from today (July 8) onwards. But that is not all, as with high success comes high reward. Though the film is now available to the public in their very houses, the high reward is that the film is now being screened on over 100 theatre screens all across Tamil Nadu. This is no easy feat and it is one that has not been achieved for a long time. This goes on to show the film's potential to reach the masses easily with its great Hollywood standard of filmmaking.

The film serves as the second installment in the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU). The plot continues from Kaithi (2019) and follows a black-ops squad led by Amar tracking down masked vigilantes, while he learns of a drug syndicate group called Vetti Vagaiyara, led by Sandhanam, who wants the missing drugs to be delivered to his cold-blooded boss Rolex.

A spiritual successor of the 1986 film of the same name, also starring Hassan, Vikram is an action thriller film written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and produced by Raaj Kamal Films International. Apart from the Universal Hero, the film also stars Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil in lead roles alongside Kalidas Jayaram, Narain, and Chemban Vinod Jose in supporting roles. Suriya also makes an unforgettable cameo appearance as the savage Rolex. The film's soundtrack and score are composed by Anirudh Ravichander whose tracks are still being tuned into very regularly.
