Blockbuster Tamil filmmaker Venkat Prabhu is celebrating Brother's Day with his sibling Premgi Amaren and an old video of the duo is now going viral on social media. In the video re-released by Premgi on Wednesday, we see the actor-composer having fun with the Maanaadu director, who is holding a bottle of Jack Daniel's whiskey. The video shot in their residence shows the two brothers acting out a scene from the Rajinikanth-starrer Dharmathin Thalaivan, which also had 'Ilaya Thilagam' Prabhu playing his sibling. Premgi and Venkat Prabhu re-enact the sequence from the 1988 film to the 'Thenmadurai Vaigai Nadhi' song in the background, with the former coming in to hug the latter before walking away with the bottle of whiskey.

Premgi, who shared the fun video on his Twitter page, is expected to put up a new video later tonight with Venkat Prabhu based on the caption in his tweet. He wrote, "Happy brothers day @vp_offl 💙😘 we need to take a new video tonight 🍻🥂🍾 (sic)". Premgi is known for his funny videos and Venkat Prabhu too has often been seen taking part in the fun antics. With Venkat Prabhu fresh off the release of his Telugu filmmaking debut, Custody, starring Naga Chaitanya and Krithi Shetty, while also being recently announced to be the director of 'Thalapathy' Vijay's next big film, the tentatively titled Thalapathy 68, it is being speculated that Premgi will be seen in a key role in the upcoming biggie.

Thalapathy 68 will be coming out in theatres in 2024 and marks the first time Vijay and Venkat Prabhu are joining forces after the filmmaker shared screen space with the Tamil superstar in the 2005 blockbuster, Sivakasi. AGS Entertainment is producing the film and is their second collaboration with Vijay after their smash hit 2019 sports drama, Bigil. Similarly, Thalapathy 68 is also the second time a Vijay-starrer will have the songs and the background score composed by celebrated music director Yuvan Shankar Raja after their 2003 film, Pudhiya Geethai.
