Among the multiple projects Vijay Sethupathi is currently attached to, he will begin shooting for his Tughlaq Durbar, after the film was launched last week. To be helmed by debutant director Delhi Prasad Deenadayalan, the upcoming film said to be a political satire is being produced by jointly by Seven Screen Studios and Viacom 18 Studios banners with music by Govind Vasantha. With the makers recently roping in director turned actor Parthiban and actress Aditi Rao Hydari to be a part of this film, Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada heroine Manjima Mohan has been cast in Tughlaq Durbar, which will be hitting screens as a summer 2020 release.

Tughlaq Durbar has created quite a lot of excitement and expectations among fans after it was revealed that the film is a political satire and includes Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom and Seethakaathi director Balaji Tharaneetharan as the dialogue writer while 96 director C. Prem Kumar is serving as the cinematographer. The project was first announced during the 100th day thanksgiving meet of the versatile star’s superhit romance, 96, last year. Apart from Tughlaq Durbar, Vijay Sethupathi is also a part of upcoming ventures like Maamanithan, Sanga Thamizhan, Kadaisi Vivasayi, Laabam, former Sri Lankan cricketer Muttiah Muralitharan's biopic in Tamil and Chiranjeevi’s Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy in Telugu.
