Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi's long awaited film, Maamanithan is right on track for release and there is some good news for the fans. The film has completed all the censor formalities and it has been certified with a clean U certificate. With the censor test getting over, the film is now just one step away from its release and let us hope that the d-day arrives soon. Vijay Sethupathi took to his official Twitter page to share this update with the fans and film buffs. Maamanithan is directed by acclaimed filmmaker Seenu Ramasamy who is known for his emotional dramas like Thenmerku Paruvakaatru, Dharmadurai, and Neerparavai.

The highlight aspect of Maamanithan is its music which will be composed by Isaignaani Ilaiyaraaja and Yuvan Shankar Raja. Maamanithan will mark the first ever professional collaboration of the father-son duo and their work is going to be one of the major strengths of the film. Two singles - 'Thattiputta' and 'Ye Raasa' have been released so far and both the songs have opened to a positive response from music lovers. The rest of the songs will be released soon. The teaser of the film that was released a few days before had garnered favourable reviews from the audience, making them look forward to watching the movie.

The trailer is also expected to be out soon. Produced by Yuvan Shankar Raja under the banner of YSR Films, this film features Super Deluxe fame Gayathrie as the female lead. Anikha Surendran, Manikandan Achari, Guru Somasundaram, KPAC Lalitha would be seen playing supporting roles in this film which has cinematography by M Sukumar and editing by Sreekar Prasad. Seenu Ramasamy is known for his intense emotional dramas and it is going to be interesting to see what he has in store for the audience with Maamanithan.
