Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi is all geared up for the release of Laabam which will hit the screens on September 9. Laabam will be one of the first big league Tamil films to release in theatres after the second wave of Covid 19 and it is going to be interesting to see how the film fares at the box office. Earlier today (September 3), the makers unveiled a brand new trailer of the film which is mostly dialogue-driven. This new trailer has intense and hard-hitting dialogues that deliver the intended impact. The film is directed by late filmmaker SP Jhananathan and he has infused his social ideologies in an interesting fashion.

The lines about the infrastructure of a country pack a punch, striking a connection with the audience. From what we see, it looks like Laabam will be an impactful film that will bring to light several dark realities with regards to the commercialisation of several fields. It is unfortunate that director SP Jhananathan is not alive to witness the release of his film, but we are sure that his message and ideologies will reach the audience in the right way. Laabam will feature Shruti Haasan as the female lead and Jagapathi Babu as the antagonist.

Talented actors like Sai Dhanshika, Kalaiyarasan, Ramesh Thilak, Prithivi Rajan, Danial Anne pope, Nithish Veera, Jai Varman are also a part of the film's star cast. Produced by Vijay Sethupathi Productions in association with 7Cs Entertainment Pvt Ltd, Laabam has music composed by D Imman and cinematography by Ramji. Ganesh Kumar has edited the film, while V Selvakumar has taken care of the art direction. Don Ashok has choreographed the stunts for the film. Laabam is censored with a clean U certificate.

Post the theatrical run, Laabam will be officially available to stream on the Netflix platform. For now, check out the newly released second trailer of the Vijay Sethupathi starrer Laabam here:
