The star is set to act in his first Tamil web series. The series will be directed by the critically acclaimed director M. Manikandan. He made his debut with the National Award-winning film Kaaka Muttai and went on to do Kuttrame Thandanai, Aandavan Kattalai and Kadaisi Vivasayi. The unnamed web series is set to be produced by 7Cs Entertainment. Arumugakumar who wrote and directed the film Oru Nalla Naal Paathu Solren is also a part of the series with music by Premam fame Rajesh Murugesan. The actor Vijay Sethupathi shared a picture from the launch ceremony of the web series and stated “Happy to start my first web series in Tamil for Disney Plus Hotstar Tamil, Directed by M Manikandan with an auspicious pooja.”

The announcement has become viral on social media as the series is set to be released on the platform Disney+ Hotstar. As fans were excited as to what will be the next project of the talented director of one of the critically-acclaimed films of last year Kadaisi Vivasai, this announcement has created excitement among movie buffs and fans. Last Week, the OTT streaming platform also announced the launch of a new web-series titled LABEL, to be directed by Arunraja Kamaraj. The busy actor Vijay Sethupathi also has multiple films in line in Hindi and Tamil.
