Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha Ruth Prabhu's Kushi will be launched in theatres worldwide on September 1, blockbuster Telugu production banner Mythri Movie Makers has announced. Along with the release date announcement on Twitter, the makers of the upcoming romantic comedy also shared a special poster featuring Vijay Deverakonda as an employee of the Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSL) amidst an alpine backdrop and is seen extending his arm out to hold Samantha, who is on the balcony of a house with an adorable little puppy dog, with the caption of the tweet reading: "Experience the Magic of Two Worlds Falling for Each Other".

Being directed by Shiva Nirvana of Ninnu Kori, Majili, and Tuck Jagadish fame, Kushi was initially announced to release on December 23 in 4 languages - Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam, but went on to be postponed later. Samantha resumed shooting her portions in the film towards the end of last year after she had to fly to the US for treatment for Myositis. There were also reports last year claiming that Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha were injured during the shooting of Kushi, which went on to be denied in an official clarification.
Kushi is gearing up to be a special film for fans as it has been made on a grand scale and will include music by Hesham Abdul Wahab, who became an overnight sensation for his impeccable work in the 2022 Malayalam blockbuster, Hridayam. The technical team of the Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha-starrer also includes Murali. G of Kaala and Sarpatta Parambarai fame handling the cinematography, while Prawin Pudi is taking care of the film's editing. There has been quite a lot of buzz surrounding Kushi as it also marks the second time Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha will be sharing screen space after appearing in key roles in the 2018 Telugu biopic, Mahanati, which was based on the life of actress Savitri.
