Vijay Deverakonda is gearing up for the release of his highly anticipated next, Liger which has got huge expectations among the fans. Liger will be an intense action drama that will feature Vijay Deverakonda playing the role of a boxer. The film is scheduled to release in theatres on August 25 and the film will have a pan Indian release across 5 languages - Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam. With 50 more days there for the film to be out in theatres, the makers have now made the big announcement about the release of the first single. The first single song from Liger is called 'Akdi Pakdi' and it will be a foot-tapping dance number with high energy.

The song will be released on July 11 on YouTube and other audio streaming platforms. A short promo teaser of the song would be out on July 8. Vijay Deverakonda made the announcement about the release of 'Akdi Pakdi' song through a tweet that read, "50 Days to Release 🔥 Let's Celebrate with some Massssss Music! AKDI PAKDI 1st song - July 11th Promo on July 8th #Liger #LigerOnAug25th". The announcement poster packs energy and it looks like this song will reach big among the masses. Liger is directed by Puri Jagannadh and has Ananya Panday playing the female lead.

Ramya Krishnan, Ronit Roy, Ali, Makarand Deshpande play supporting roles. Boxing Legend Mike Tyson will be seen playing an extended cameo in the film and the fans are eagerly looking forward to witnessing his acting prowess. The combination scenes of Vijay Deverakonda and Mike Tyson are said to be one of the major highlights of the film. Produced by Dharma Productions in association with Puri Connects, the film has cinematography handled by Vishnu Sarma while the editing is done by Junaid Siddiqui. The songs are composed by Vikram Montrose and Tanishk Bagchi, while the background score is taken care of by Mani Sharma.
