Director CS Amudhan and composer turned actor Vijay Antony have teamed up for their upcoming film titled Ratham. The upcoming film has been creating a lot of buzz ever since it was announced that it would be a crime thriller and will be a different direction for the filmmaker, who is known for his parody films Thamizh Padam and Tamizh Padam 2. With filming on Ratham going on for some time in Kolkata for some time now, Amudhan on Saturday shared an update informing that the shooting for Vijay Antony on the Howrah Bridge has wrapped up. He tweeted, "And we’ve wrapped the last day of shoot for @vijayantony on the spectacular Howrah bridge in Kolkota. Nandri Nanba! Not including his pic to avoid prematurely revealing his look. We are nearing the end of shoot for #Ratham . Only Spain remains. @FvInfiniti"

With only its shooting in Spain left, we can expect the director to complete filming on Ratham soon. This highly anticipated film is being bankrolled by Kamal Bohra under the Infiniti Film Ventures banner also stars Nandita Swetha, Mahima Nambiar, and Remya Nambeesan as the female leads, and their roles in the film are said to be of prime importance to the plot. Ratham has its music composed by N Kannan, while Gopi Amarnath is the cinematographer, with the stunt scenes being choreographed by Dhilip Subbarayan and TS Suresh serving as the editor of the film. 

Expectations for the film are quite high and fans are now waiting for Amudhan and Vijay Antony to show what they are prepping with their Ratham. Apart from Ratham, Vijay Antony is also attached to several other projects like Agni Siragugal, Khakee, and Thamezharasan and is also working on his directorial debut, Pichaikkaran 2.
