Vijay antony accident latest health update by producer dhananjayan govind pichaikkaran 2 - Tamil Movie Cinema News

Music director turned actor Vijay Antony suffered injuries during the shooting of his directorial debut film, Pichaikkaran 2, when his speedboat collided with another vessel at Langkawi, Malaysia, on Monday, January 16. Currently undergoing treatment in Kuala Lumpur, the news of the blockbuster composer getting injured left many Tamil cinema celebrities and fans worried, with popular Tamil cinema producer-distributor Dr. Dhananjayan Govind sharing the latest health update, while also explaining how the accident occurred.

Dhananjayan Govind said, "He's keeping well now. I've been following the developments for the past two days. Many people have cited that the accident happened during the filming of an action sequence, which is not true. He was shooting a song for Pichaikkaran 2 with Kavya Thapar on a speedboat and the crew was filming them from another boat that was traveling in front of them. As it was being shot at a certain high speed, his boat lost control and collided with another vessel. As a result, he fell into the water and since he doesn't know swimming, a few team members jumped in the water and pulled him back onto the other boat. Kavya Thapar managed to come out quickly. She suffered a small bruise on her forehead and is currently doing well."

Elaborating on Vijay Antony's injuries, Dhananjayan Govind stated, "Vijay Antony ended up swallowing a lot of water and he faced some difficulty. When his boat crashed into the other vehicle, he hurt his face, and his lips and teeth. As a result, he wasn't able to speak for some time. He's currently undergoing treatment in a hospital and his family explained to me how strong a human being he is. He has so much willpower. Usually, people who end up in such situations turn dull, but he's editing Pichaikkaran 2 on his laptop despite being admitted to the hospital despite the doctor's advise to rest. His team informed me that there's nothing to be worried about him as he's now editing. They told me that he won't be able to speak for 2-3 days since his lips have to heal. His sister-in-law and his daughter are currently there taking care of him. The Malaysian Embassy granted his daughter her visa within two hours after hearing the news of this accident. In the meantime, he's chatting with his production team to shoot next in Dubai and they're completely stunned by his dedication despite the injuries."
