Viduthalai Part: 1 is a the mega-hit films that was released in theatres on March 31. It was directed by blockbuster filmmaker Vetri Maaran and was welcomed well by fans, critics and the public. The film has actor Soori playing the lead for the first time after acting in over 60 films in supporting and comedy roles. The actor takes up the role of a newbie cop who is recruited as a driver in a troop on duty in a remote hilly terrain. The film also has Vijay Sethupathi playing an important role as Vaathiyar. After nearly a month of theatrical run, the makers have now revealed the OTT premiere date of the film.
Viduthalai Part: 1 is set to make it's OTT premier on the streaming platform Zee 5. The platform has revealed a new poster from the film and has also shared that an extended Director’s cut version of the film will be released on the streaming platform. They have shared it with the cation “Witness the uncut, unseen, unbelievable extended version of Viduthalai Part: 1”. It will be released on April 28, tomorrow.

Viduthalai also has Bhavani Sre as the female lead, Director Gautham Vasudev Menon and Rajiv Menon, Chetan, Munnar Ramesh, Ilavarasu and others in important roles. The film was bank rolled by RS Infotainment with Grass Rooot Film and has music composed by Isaignani Ilayaraja. This announcement of the OTT release has created huge excitement among fans as Vetri Maaran is a director who is known to make the path-breaking film and had often had to cut some intriguing scenes from his films owing to the run-time and other reasons. As a this the first time an extended version of the director's film is set to be released, it has created an anticipation. It is speculated that the extended version of Viduthalai Part: 1 would be 3 hours long while the theatre run-time of te film was two hours 25 minutes.
