National Award-winning director Vetri Maaran surprised fans after he recently bought a brand new BMW superbike and the photos have gone viral on social media. An authorized BMW Motorrad dealer in Chennai posted pictures on their social media handle showing the ace Tamil filmmaker unveiling his BMW R nineT Scrambler motorcycle and congratulating him on his new grand purchase. Apart from the pictures of Vetri Maaran and his new brand new BMW R nineT Scrambler motorbike, there are also videos of the hit director unveiling his purchase, which is reportedly priced at a whopping rupees seventeen lakhs. Posting the images on the BMW Motorrad Instagram page, they wished the Asuran director and wrote, "Congratulations to Mr. Vetri Maaran (@vetrimaaran_._ ) on his new BMW R nineT Scrambler. On the work front, Vetri Maaran is currently working on his Viduthalai, which will introduce Tamil comedy actor Soori in the lead role as a cop, while 'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi, director Gautham Menon and Paava Kadhaigal fame Bhavani Sre form the supporting cast, with music by legendary composer 'Maestro' Ilaiyaraaja. The Aadukalam director will next begin work on the biggie, Vaadivaasal, starring Suriya being produced by Kalapuli S. Thanu's V Creations banner. The film will be based on Tamil writer C.S. Chellappa's novel of the same name and will include music by G. V. Prakash Kumar. Vetri Maaran had also announced sometime back that he will be serving as a showrunner on a ZEE5 web series and will be based on Jallikattu, with Sheela Rajkumar of Mandela fame revealed to be a part of the cast. He has also written the story and screenplay for Raghava Lawrence's Adhigaaram being directed by Durai Senthil Kumar, who is known for directing films like Ethir Neechal, Kaaki Sattai, Kodi and Pattas. The Visaranai director also sometime back revealed that a prequel web series based on the Rajan Vagaira character played by Ameer in Vada Chennai is currently under development and will see Asuran fame Ken Karunas in the role. The celebrated filmmaker had also said last year that discussions were held with 'Thalapathy' Vijay for a project, including reports stating that he would likely be jointly working with 'Ulaganayagan' Kamal Haasan as well.
