Veteran actor TS Raghavendra, who has been a part of movies like Sindhu Bhairavi and Vikram, has passed away today. His mortal remains are currently at his KK Nagar house, in Chennai and the final rites are to be performed today afternoon. Having debuted in the 1984 movie Vaidehi Kathirunthal, playing Revathi's drunkard father, TS Raghavendra has acted in about 16 movies, the last of which was the 2005 movie Pon Megalai. He has also reportedly scored the music for three movies - Yaaga Saalai, Uyir and Padikkatha Paadam.

TS Raghavendra is known for his father characters and his comic timing & singing, were his most noticeable qualities. In the 1985 Sivakumar starrer Sindhu Bhairavi, which went on to become a blockbuster hit, he showed off his singing skills in a number of scenes. In his career, he has also worked in a Malayalam movie - Ente Sooryaputhrikku, which was made simultaneously in Tamil as Karpoora Mullai.

The entire family of TS Raghavendra's has an inclination towards music, with his wife Sulochana also being known for her singing. This couple's daughters Kalpana Raghavendar and Prasanna Raghavendra (now known as Shekinah Shawn) are both popular for their singing prowess. Kalpana has won many reality singing competitions and was also a participant on the Bigg Boss Telugu Season 1, while Shekinah Shawn is a renowned Opera singer!
