Director Venkat Prabhu who is fresh from the success of Maanaadu is all geared up for the release of his next movie, Manmatha Leelai which is set to hit the screens on April 1. The film stars Ashok Selvan, Smruthi Venkat, Samyuktha Hegde, and Riya Suman in the lead roles and has been certified with an 'A' certificate. Having said that, Venkat Prabhu has already started work on his next venture and the details regarding the same are out. In a recent exclusive interview with Galatta, Venkat Prabhu officially confirmed that his next film will be with popular Telugu hero Naga Chaitanya.

The pre-production works of the film are currently happening in full swing in Hyderabad. Talking about the project, VP said, "I am currently in Hyderabad and tightly held up with the pre-production of my next film. That is the reason why I couldn't take part in my uncle's (Ilaiyaraaja) music concert in Chennai. Yes! The film is with Naga Chaitanya. We are in constant discussion. He liked the narration. It is a fresh script and not a remake of any film. There are many updates and surprises that will reach you soon when the time is right.

I had initially planned to cast Nagarjuna sir (Arjun role) for Mankatha and we (Naga Chaitanya - Venkat Prabhu) have been in constant contact with each other since then. I felt Chay will suit this story. He speaks very good Tamil. He was brought up in Chennai and he is a typical Madras guy. It is easy to converse with him and he also knows the sensibilities of the Tamil people. The film will be a Tamil - Telugu bilingual". Well, that is quite a lot of information, right?. So, the news is that Venkat Prabhu's next outing after Maanaadu and Manmatha Leelai will be with Naga Chaitanya and the duo will be working on a bilingual.

More details regarding the project are awaited. Stay tuned to this space for more exciting updates.
