Box office clashes are something that everyone tends to avoid. Whether it is fans or stars, a clash is never preferred by either party. Harish Shankar's upcoming gangster comedy Valmiki, and Nani's romantic actioner Gang Leader, were set to lock horns at the Box Office, on September 13. However, rumours started floating around that the makers of Valmiki are planning to push the film to September 20. Now, this morning it has finally been announced by the makers that the release date has indeed been pushed.

An official report states that the clash has been averted, after the intervention of the recently formed Producers’ Guild. The report quotes a source saying that the Guild was formed to make sure such clashes don’t happen and this is why they stepped in. Thus, one of the producers was asked to move the film by one week. Varun Tej took to Twitter and announced that his film will be releasing on September 20 and that it will be banging!

A remake of the Tamil hit Jigarthanda, Valmiki is the story of a director who wants to make a gangster film. The path he goes on, to make this film successful, forms the crux of the film.
