Comedy actor Vengal Rao, who is best known for his appearances in several notable Tamil films featuring 'Vaigai Puyal' Vadivelu, had complained of stomach pain and was undergoing treatment at the Government Hospital in Vijayawada. On Thursday, PRO Govindharaj took to social media to share the news that the popular actor had made a recovery from his stomach infection and is back home now with his family. Vengal Rao, who was admitted to the hospital due to liver complications, had been receiving treatment for over a week, with the happy news of his recovery leaving his fans quite relieved. The actor is being taken care of by his daughter Lakshmi. Below is his PRO's tweet:

Vengal Rao began his career as a stuntman in the film industry and appeared as a stunt double alongside leading superstars like Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, and Dharmendra before making a transition to acting. He has appeared in more than 30 films alongside Tamil comedy superstar Vadivelu and made heads turn in the 2006 box office hit, Thalai Nagaram, starring Sundar. C in the lead role under Suraj's direction. Vengal Rao will be seen next once again alongside Vadivelu in Naai Sekar Returns, who himself is making a big comeback to films after nearly 5 years when he made his last appearance in 'Thalapathy' Vijay's Mersal in 2017. Naai Sekar Returns is being directed by Suraj under the Lyca Productions banner and features Sivaangi Krishnakumar, Redin Kingsley, Shivani Narayanan, Anandaraj, Munishkanth, among others in supporting roles and will have music composed by Santhosh Narayanan.
