Dhanush is currently riding high on the success of his latest Hollywood venture, The Gray Man, which was directed by the Russo Brothers of Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Endgame fame. The star actor currently has a lot on his plate as he is busy juggling his time between the various projects he has signed on to. Of these, his upcoming film Vaathi is one of them.

Today (July 28) being Dhanush's birthday, the makers of Vaathi have released a brand new poster from the film as a gift to the actor himself as well as all his countless fans. They will also be giving a second gift to both in the form of a teaser which has been revealed to be out at 6 PM today. The new poster features Dhanush in between a crowd full of kids while standing in front of a statue of Saraswati, the Hindu Goddess of knowledge and learning. This is apt for the poster since the title of the movie means teacher who is a symbol of knowledge and learning. The makers of the film also released its first look poster yesterday (July 27) which was very well received as it started to go viral all over various social media platforms.

Vaathi is an upcoming Tamil film written and directed by Venky Atluri. It has been shot simultaneously in Tamil as well as Telugu, the latter titled Sir and marking Dhanush's big debut in Tollywood. Produced under the banners of Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, the film stars Dhanush and Samyuktha Menon in the lead roles alongside P. Sai Kumar and Tanikella Bharani in supporting roles. National Award-winning music composer G.V. Prakash Kumar has been roped in to score the film.
