Udhayanidhi Stalin is on cloud nine after tasting box office successes in succession by distributing several blockbusters in 2022 under his Red Giant Movies banner. In light of the release of his next big film, Kalaga Thalaivan, a grand celebration event titled '10 years of Udhayanidhi Stalin' was held recently at the Lady Andal Venkatasubba Rao School in Chennai honoring him as an actor in the Tamil film industry. The gala event, which saw the Kalaga Thalaivan team that included the film's director Magizh Thirumeni, and actors Nidhhi Agerwal, Arav, and Kalaiyarasan, including filmmakers Mysskin and Arunraja Kamaraj also featured Udhayanidhi taking part in an interactive session where he shared his honest opinion about the films he distributed under his Red Giant Movies this year.

The session at the '10 years of Udhayanidhi Stalin' kicked off with the actor/producer-politician being asked about the box office result of Suriya's Etharkkum Thunindhavan, which was revealed to be a financial success. Moving on to 'Thalapathy' Vijay's Beast, Udhayanidhi declared that although the film could have been better, it was without a doubt a massive box office blockbuster. Regarding Don, Udhayanidhi went on to state that the film earned 38 crores in Tamil Nadu alone and is Sivakarthikeyan's career-best collection to date. The Red Giant Movies owner remained quiet and didn't comment when asked about 'Chiyaan' Vikram's Cobra while showing a placard with the word average on it.

Declaring 'Ulaganayagan' Kamal Haasan's Vikram to be a mega-hit, Udhayanidhi Stalin then revealed that the recently-released Love Today starring Pradeep Ranganathan was also a blockbuster while stating that the budget of the film was five and a half crores, with the collections from theatres coming close to Rs. 18-20 crores. Udhayanidhi was then asked about Silambarasan TR's Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu, which he revealed was a blockbuster, while he went on to disclose that 'Superstar' Rajinikanth's Annaatthe was average and could have performed better from a commercial standpoint.

Wrapping up the segment, Udhayanidhi Stalin was also queried about his next big release, Ajith Kumar's Thunivu, which has been announced for a grand Pongal 2022 release. He went on to state that he cannot speak much about the film as of now as he hasn't watched it yet and will be able to arrive at a conclusion only after it comes out in theatres.
