The background score works for the film have begun in full swing and the legendary composer A.R.Rahman has started the proceedings with Mari Selvaraj. After working with Santhosh Narayanan in Pariyerum Perumal and Karnan, Mari Selvaraj has now joined hands with A.R.Rahman for his third film and he expressed his delight and happiness about the same.

It has been a really long time since A.R.Rahman worked on a rural drama and it is going to be exciting to see a rooted flavour of music coming out from the legend. The shooting of Maamannan has been wrapped up and the film is expected to hit the theatres in early 2023.
