Trisha, one of the busiest actors in town, has officially signed her next movie in Tamil cinema and details regarding the project are out. Trisha will be acting in a new film directed by debutant Arun Vaseegaran and this project is tentatively called The Road. The film was officially launched with a formal pooja this morning (April 25) after which the shoot commenced. Starting today, the shoot will happen for the next 50 days in Madurai and neighbouring towns and the shoot will happen at a single stretch without any major breaks. The film is based on a real life incident that took place in the early 2000s in Madurai.

Produced by AAA Cinema Private Limited, this film will have music composed by Sam CS, while KG Venkatesh and Nagooran would be handling the cinematography and editing respectively. Siva Yadhav is the art director of this flick that has stunts choreographed by Phoenix Prabhu. Cook with Comali sensation Santhosh Prathap and Sarpatta Parambarai 'Dancing Rose' fame Shabeer will be seen playing pivotal roles. Miya George, MS Bhaskar, and Vela Ramamoorthy are also a part of the film's star cast. With an interesting star cast, Trisha's The Road has gone on floors and let us hope to witness a quality entertainer.

Trisha has multiple other exciting projects in her kitty and the highlight one among them is Ponniyin Selvan, the Mani Ratnam directorial. Trisha will be seen playing the female lead in Ponniyin Selvan, essaying the character of Kundhavai. Chiyaan Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan play the other leads in this film which has music composed by A.R.Rahman. Trisha had recently completed the shooting of her debut web series, Brindha, which will feature her in the role of a police officer. The star actress is also awaiting the release of three of her long delayed projects - Raangi, Garjanai, and Sathuranga Vettai 2.
