This is the week of Ponniyin Selvan and the makers have been releasing character look posters of the lead actors on a daily basis. We have already witnessed the character look posters of Chiyaan Vikram (as Aditya Karikalan), Karthi (as Vanthiya Thevan), and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan (as Nandhini). The fourth revelation has now been made and it introduces us to Kundavai, played by Trisha. The star actress looks gorgeously beautiful and makes you instantly fall for her. The industry talk is that Trisha has delivered one of her best ever performances and will be a major highlight of the film.

Kundavai is known to be a woman of courage and she is one of the most well written and effective characters in the novel. Only one more lead character's post is pending to be released and it will be out tomorrow. The character look poster of Jayam Ravi as Arul Mozhi Varman / Ponniyin Selvan will be officially unveiled tomorrow.  Ponniyin Selvan is based on the novel of the same name penned by Kalki Krishnamurthy. Directed by Mani Ratnam, the film has music composed by A.R.Rahman whose work is widely anticipated by the fans.

Produced by Lyca Productions in association with Madras Talkies, the film has several other prominent actors in supporting roles - R Sarath Kumar, Prakash Raj, Prabhu, Lal, Jayaram, Jaya Chitra, Radhakrishnan Parthiban, Vikram Prabhu, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Arjun Chidambaram, Mohan Raman, Vinodhini Vaidyanathan, Ashwin Kakumanu, Babu Antony, and others. The film is slated for a grand theatrical release on September 30 and it will have a simultaneous release in 5 different languages - Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi. Considering the huge hype surrounding the movie, one can hope the film to create multiple box office records. 

Meanwhile, the first visual teaser of Ponniyin Selvan will be released tomorrow and that will prepare us for an exciting ride.
