As the second wave of Covid 19 has come under control in the state of Tamil Nadu, we have been witnessing several relaxations coming into effect, every week. On that note, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K.Stalin has officially granted permission for the theatres in Tamil Nadu to function with 100% full occupancy from November 1. The theatres in Tamil Nadu were functioning with 50% occupancy all the while and films like Thalaivii, Kodiyil Oruvan, Sivakumarin Sabadham, Doctor, and Aranmanai 3 were played with only half capacity due to the Covid-19 threat.

Despite the 50% occupancy, Sivakarthikeyan's Doctor turned out to be a sensational blockbuster hit at the box office. The 50% occupancy will come to an end on October 31 and from November 1, the theatres will open with full capacity. This development has come as a big relief for the theatre exhibitors and distributors who have expressed their happiness and gratitude on social media. With all the industries slowly getting back to normalcy, let us hope that all of us come out of the Covid-19 situation very soon. At the same time, the audiences are requested to wear masks and maintain all the safety guidelines while watching a film in the theatres with 100% occupancy.

This 100% occupancy announcement has also come as a big boost for this year's Diwali releases - Superstar Rajinikanth's Annaatthe and Vishal - Arya's Enemy. Both Annaatthe and Enemy are scheduled to hit the screens on November 4 and this 100% occupancy will definitely give the film more scope to perform well at the box office. Annaatthe, especially, has got high expectations among the fans and it is expected to take the box office by storm. Annaatthe is directed by Siva and produced by Sun Pictures, with music scored by D Imman. Khushbu Sundar, Meena, Nayanthara, and Keerthy Suresh play the female leads in Annaatthe.

On the other hand, Enemy is Vishal's next outing and it is directed by Anand Shankar of Iru Mugan fame. Arya plays the antagonist in this stylish action entertainer that has Mirnalini Ravi playing the female lead.
