Ajith Kumar's Thunivu released as a grand Pongal treat on January 11 has turned out to be a phenomenal box office success and is one of the highest-grossing films in the actor's glorious career. Directed by H. Vinoth and produced by Boney Kapoor's Bayview Projects LLP in association with the Zee Studios banner, the mass heist action thriller also features songs and background score composed by Ghibran. Apart from the songs in Thunivu turning out to be chart-topping hits, the BGMs too received words of appreciation from fans and critics, with the makers now officially releasing the much-awaited original soundtrack.
The Thunivu original soundtrack includes 33 musical BGM tracks and the film is currently streaming on Netflix after its premiere earlier this week. The film is incidentally Ghibran's landmark 50th venture and the composer is now basking on the stunning feedback to his work, and is yet another feather in his cap. Prior to the release of the Thunivu OST, the three songs featured in the film - 'Chilla Chilla', 'Kasethan Kadavulada', and 'Gangstaa' - turned out to be smash hits and continue to stay at the top of the charts. It is to be noted that Ghibran had previously composed the background score for Ajith's Valimai last year.
Thunivu is the third consecutive film for Ajith with H. Vinoth and Boney Kapoor after their previous collaborations namely Nerkonda Paarvai (2019) and Valimai (2022), and the trio have hit the bulls-eye yet again with their latest venture, which also stars Manju Warrier, Samuthirakani, John Kokken among others. The film took a spectacular opening in Tamil Nadu after being released by Red Giant Movies. Thunivu is currently running in theatres and also streaming on Netflix, with fans continuing to debate on social media about the performances and the technical aspects.
