Thorati stars Shaman Mithru, Sathyakala, Sundarrajan, Chellam Jyaseelan and Muthuraman in important roles and the movie is directed by P Marimuthu.  Ved Shanker Sugavanam has composed the songs and Jithin K Roshan has scored the background score. The lyrics for the songs are written by the Bigg Boss fame Snehan. Shaman Mithru has also produced the film under his own banner Shanam Pictures. Cinematography is handled by Kumar Sridhar, editing by Raja Mohammed and art is done by Chellam Jayaseelan. Thorati won many awards even before the release and came out with some decent expectation among the critics. The latest buzz about the film is the video of the song Usura Urukki.
