Dhanush's Thiruchitrambalam released today (August 18) amidst high expectations from the fans and the reviews have been positive. The film is sure to become a blockbuster and it has taken a very good opening. The FDFS shows of Thiruchitrambalam began at 8 AM in the morning throughout Tamil Nadu. The FDFS celebrations of any big star film are known to be grand and vibrant, but at times, some celebrations end up nastier. One such incident has happened today after the FDFS of Thiruchitrambalam. The screen of Rohini Main Screen from Rohini Silver Screens, Koyambedu, has been torn by the fans and this is a side-effect of over-the-board celebrations by the fans.

When the celebrations went out of control, the screen seems to have been torn. The unfortunate aspect of this incident is that the people who had booked for the next shows of the movie would have to undergo a not-so-good experience. This incident has garnered wide attention on social media and the fans act have come under strong criticism. It can be noted that Dhanush, Anirudh, and Raashi Khanna came to the Rohini Silver Screens to catch the FDFS show of Thiruchitrambalam along with the fans. Now that the theatrical screen is heavily damaged, the theatre management will now have to replace a new screen.

Nikilesh Surya, the Managing Director of Rohini Silver Screens retweeted the posts condemning the fans act, expressing his distress over the incident. Rakesh Gowthaman, the Managing Director of Vettri Theatres came in support of the theatre exhibitors fraternity and condemned this inhumane behaviour of the people who were behind this act. Expressing his anger, Rakesh tweeted, "The illiterate who did this does not even know the value of this . Even if the retard watches 1000 movies , cannot make up even half of the investment. Why can’t that person tear his own dress instead 🤬 🤬 🤬"
