Strahovski, who is currently headlining the dystopian Hulu series The Handmaid's Tale as the character Serena Joy Waterford, announced the news of her second pregnancy back in July during the premiere of her action film, The Tomorrow War. The actress is yet to reveal the name of her baby, who is a sibling to her and Loden's three-year-old son, William. Congratulatory messages and wishes have been pouring in for Strahovski following her big announcement, including her Handmaid's Tale co-stars namely Ever Carradine, who commented saying, "He's perfect", while O-T Fagbenle wrote, "Beauuuuitiful!!"

Yvonne Strahovski, who has also been seen in films like Killer Elite, I, Frankenstein, The Predator and The Tomorrow War to name a notable few, has hit the bullseye with her role in The Handmaid's Tale series, which has been renewed for a fifth season and is expected to arrive sometime in 2022. In 2019, the actress opened up about returning to work on the show after the birth of her first child in October 2018. Strahovski told Glamour U.K., "It was definitely one of the hardest and most challenging moments ever in my entire career." She added, "Coming back to work with a newborn and all the sleep deprivation that comes with that, plus I was breastfeeding. I was running in between set and my trailer, breastfeeding on demand and doing scene work. It was crazy being all 'miserable Serena' and then coming in and having so much. joy looking at my baby, and then going back into the scene and then coming back again and breastfeeding and being happy."
