'Thalapathy' Vijay recently kicked off the next schedule of his Varisu in Visakhapatnam and photos of the actor at the Chennai airport before his departure took social media by storm. Being directed by Vamshi Paidipally under Dil Raju's Sri Venkateswara Creations banner, the upcoming family entertainer will see chart-buster composer Thaman. S churning out the tunes and the background score for the first time for a film with the Tamil superstar. With production currently progressing at a brisk pace, Thaman has now taken to social media to share a new photo of himself from the Varisu shooting spot at the Vizag port.

Thaman, who has been delivering chart-buster albums one after the other in Telugu cinema over the years, has been building plenty of hype for Varisu and the songs in the film as it marks his first collaboration with Vijay. It has been the hit composer's long-time wish to work with Vijay and we can expect him to come out all guns blazing with his songs in the film. Known for coming up with foot-tapping songs as well as melodious numbers, the expectations for the tracks in Varisu are sky-high and Thaman will no doubt be looking to come out with a special album catering to music fans everywhere. Announced to arrive in theatres as a grand Pongal release in January 2023, Varisu, which is expected to complete filming in September, has Vijay sharing screen space with national sensation Rashmika Mandanna for the first time and the excitement surrounding their on-screen chemistry is massive considering the actress has gone on to become the darling of the masses in recent years. Apart from Vijay and Rashmika, Varisu includes an ensemble star cast featuring the likes of SJ Suryah, Sarathkumar, Prakash Raj, Prabhu, Jayasudha, Yogi Babu, Shaam, actress Sangeetha Krish, Srikanth, and Bigg Boss 4 fame Samyuktha Shanmughanathan among others in vital roles.
