Blockbuster South Indian films music director Thaman S has tested positive for COVID-19 with mild symptoms on Friday. The hit composer took to social media and issued a statement informing the same. Thaman wrote, "I have tested positive for Covid-19 with mild symptoms, despite taking all the necessary precautions and being double vaccinated. I have quarantined myself and am following safety protocols under the advice of my doctors. I request everyone who have come in contact with me to please get themselves tested. I urge everyone to follow the Covid safety protocols and get vaccinated. Stay safe.  Always grateful for your support." Check out his statement below: 

Thaman is the latest big celebrity from the Telugu film industry to test positive for Covid-19 after actor Mahesh Babu also confirmed the diagnosis on Thursday evening. The composer was one of the first to wish the Telugu superstar a speedy recovery. The blockbuster composer will be looking to bounce back to good health in quick time and return to resuming work on his vast film lineup as he is currently at the heights of his career. Having garnered a huge following over the years with his work in blockbuster ventures, Thaman was recently announced to be composing the songs and background score for Sivakarthikeyan's upcoming SK 20, which is a bilingual being made in Tamil and Telugu under Jathi Ratnalu fame Anudeep KV's direction. 

As for his upcoming Telugu ventures, Thaman S is scoring the background music for the highly-anticipated Prabhas and Pooja Hegde-starrer Radhe Shyam, which has been postponed indefinitely due to the rise in Covid-19 cases. The hit music director is also composing the songs and score for films like the Ayyappanum Koshiyum remake titled Bheemla Nayak, which has Pawan Kalyan and Rana Daggubati in the lead roles, followed by Mahesh Babu's Sarkaru Vaari Paata and his tentatively titled SSMB 28, 'Mega Star' Chiranjeevi's Godfather, Ram Charan's RC 15 under Shankar's direction, Varun Tej's boxing venture Ghani and Nandamuri Balakrishna's NBK 107
