Leading actor-producer Vishal met 'Thalapathy' Vijay ahead of the release of his film's teaser, Mark Antony, which is scheduled to be launched today evening at 6.30 p.m. Photos of their meeting have now been released by the actor on social media, who has also revealed that the Tamil film superstar had watched the Mark Antony teaser along with the upcoming film's director Adhik Ravichandran, producer S. Vinod Kumar among others. Sharing the pictures on his Twitter page, Vishal wrote, "Happy to have met my dearest Brother & Hero @actorvijay Thank you so much for watching my teaser…. This latest meeting with Vijay will no doubt be an unforgettable one for Vishal, who will be looking to hit the bullseye with his Mark Antony. Fans will know that the Irumbu Thirai actor is an ardent fan and has often expressed his admiration for the Tamil superstar in various interviews over the years. As a matter of fact, blockbuster Tamil filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj had last year approached Vishal to appear in a key role in his film, Leo, starring Vijay in the lead role, which is currently being filmed in Chennai. Although he let go of the opportunity due to his ongoing projects, Vishal had revealed sometime back that he hopes to narrate a story to Vijay and direct him in a film in the future.
Vishal's Mark Antony is one of the most-awaited films of 2023 and sees the actor sharing screen space with SJ Suryah, who recently wrapped up filming his portions, with the team holding a special celebration event sometime back. Coming out under the Mini Studios banner, the film also stars Ritu Varma as the female lead, followed by an ensemble cast featuring the likes of Selvaraghavan, Telugu actor Sunil of Pushpa: The Rise fame, Nadodigal actress Abhinaya, veteran actors 'Nizhalgal' Ravi and Y. Gee. Mahendran, while the music is composed by National Award winner G. V. Prakash Kumar. Apart from Mark Antony, Vishal also has in his lineup the highly-anticipated Thupparivaalan 2, which marks his directorial debut, and the recently-announced Vishal 34 under Hari's direction.
