'Thalapathy' Vijay's Varisu will kick off its final schedule on Sunday, September 25, blockbuster Telugu film production and distribution banner Sri Venkateswara Creations has announced. Being directed by Vamshi Paidipally and produced by Dil Raju, the team has revealed that only two more action sequences and songs remain for the complete shooting to come to a wrap after which full-fledged post-production works will commence ahead of the film coming out as a Pongal theatrical release in January 2023.

Varisu is billed to be a family entertainer along the lines of Poove Unakkaga and Thulladha Manamum Thullum and the latest announcement from Sri Venkateswara Creations will no doubt uplift the spirit of the superstar's fans, who have been waiting for an update from the upcoming film for a while now. SVC wrote on Twitter on Saturday evening, September 24, "Varisu last schedule starts tomorrow. Just 2 action sequences and 2 songs left for the wrap. Vijay is paired opposite national sensation Rashmika Mandanna in Varisu and their chemistry is expected to be a major USP considering the actress has become the darling of the masses over the last few years. Likewise, composer Thaman. S, who has delivered one chart-buster album after another in Telugu cinema, is churning out the tunes and the background score for the Vijay-starrer for the first time and, he too is a big highlight before the film arrives on screens next year. Apart from Vijay and Rashmika, Varisu includes a stellar supporting star cast featuring the likes of Sarathkumar, Prakash Raj, Prabhu, Jayasudha, Khushbu Sundar, Yogi Babu, Shaam, actress Sangeetha Krish, Srikanth Bigg Boss 4 fame Samyuktha Shanmughanathan, and SJ Suryah among others in vital roles.
