'Thalapathy' Vijay's Varisu is all set for one of the biggest releases and will be coming out in theatres as a grand Pongal treat in January 2023. Directed by Vamshi Paidipally and produced by Dil Raju under his Sri Venkateswara Creations banner, the upcoming film being released in the United Kingdom (UK) by the Ahimsa Entertainment banner has now announced that the ticket bookings are going to be opened four weeks in advance. The overseas film distribution and production banner also confirmed that ticket sales for Varisu will begin next week at Cineworld Cinemas and revealed that more multiplex cinema chains will follow soon while stating that this is happening for the first time for a Tamil film in the UK. 

Sharing a poster featuring Vijay from the 'Thee Thalapathy' song, Ahimsa Entertainment wrote in their tweet, "For the first time for a Tamil film in UK, we’re opening ticket bookings 4 weeks in advance! #Varisu ticket sales will start next week at @cineworld (& more chains to follow) 🤯🧨 IDHU THIRUPI KUDUKKUM NERAM MAAME.. #ThalapathyVijay 🎵🔥 UK release". This latest announcement is no doubt a huge feat for a Tamil film and the production-distribution house has gotten a sensational start ahead of the release of Varisu, which will open in cinemas in the UK on January 12. Ahimsa Entertainment revealed a few days back that they are planning the film's release in four of the biggest cinema chains in the UK that include Cineworld, Odeon Cinemas, Vue International, and Showcase Cinemas, including independent theatres, and we can undoubtedly now expect the film to take a massive opening. Varisu is set to be released in Tamil Nadu by Lalit Kumar's 7 Screen Studios and promotions for the film are beginning to take flight, with the two songs - 'Ranjithame' and 'Thee Thalapathy' turning out to be chart-topping hits. The film is a special venture for actress Rashmika Mandanna and music director Thaman. S, as they have worked in a Vijay film for the first time, and expectations, are massive from fans for their respective roles as well.
