'Thalapathy' Vijay's Varisu directed by Vamshi Paidipally under Dil Raju's Sri Venkateswara Creations banner is set to open in cinemas as a grand Pongal treat in January and the film is hot in the trade already as promotions have kicked off and post-production works are currently underway. Billed to be a full-fledged family entertainer, a promo for the upcoming film's first single titled 'Ranjithame' was released on Thursday, November 3, which gave a glimpse of the superstar setting the dance floor on fire to the choreography of Jani master. Composed by Thaman. S, the 'Ranjithame' promo from Vijay's Varisu has also become the first Tamil song to feature on the main page of audio giant T-Series' YouTube channel. It is to be noted that T-Series is the biggest audio label in India with more than 200 million subscribers and the song getting launched will no doubt magnify the buzz surrounding the film.

Composed by Thaman. S, the 'Ranjithame' song promo from Varisu has already been well-received as fans have been watching it on repeat mode, with the video garnering nearly six million views already in less than 24 hours of its release. The full 'Ranjithame track will be released on November 5 and expectations are huge for the song to break records as it has been sung by singer MM Mansi and Vijay for whom it is his next after the rocking chart-buster 'Arabic Kuthu' from Beast. Incidentally, 'Ranjithame' has been choreographed by Jani master, whose dance moves in 'Arabic Kuthu' took the world by storm, and there's quite a lot of excitement this time around too among fans for Varisu as well.

Varisu is the first time Thaman has composed music for a Vijay venture and fans are looking forward to the music director delivering a chart-buster album. The composer has been a huge name in Telugu cinema in recent years and he too has been giving big hopes to carry forward his momentum in the Vijay-starrer, which will see the actor be paired with national sensation Rashmika Mandanna, who as well is collaborating with the superstar for the first time and their chemistry is expected to be electrifying on the big screen.
