'Thalapathy' Vijay's Varisu audio launch is the talk of the town and is scheduled to take place at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai on Saturday, December 24. The upcoming film is directed by Vamshi Paidipally under Dil Raju's Sri Venkateswara Creations banner and will feature music by Thaman. S, with three songs -  'Ranjithame', 'Thee Thalapathy' and 'Soul of Varisu' - already released to a rousing response from fans everywhere. With the three tracks already turning out to be chart-topping hits and taking over the playlists, ace musician Drums Sivamani has now revealed that there's a surprise song awaiting fans at the Varisu audio launch.

Speaking to reporters about what fans can expect, Drums Sivamani stated, "There's a surprise single track, which will be performed live at the Varisu audio launch." He added, "The song has been recorded at India’s biggest studio, Yash Raj Films Studio, and is the only place where all my equipment will fit in. Thaman did a fantastic job recording it, and Shankar Mahadevan and Karthik have sung the song." Drums Sivamani's latest statement about the surprise Varisu track has left fans excited, leaving many wondering if it could indeed be a remix of the 'Aal Thotta Bhoopathi Naanada' song from Vijay's Youth released in 2002.

The 'Aal Thotta Bhoopathi Naanada' song in Youth was composed by Mani Sharma and went on to become one of the biggest chart-busters in Vijay's career and was picturized on the superstar and leading actress Simran, who made a special appearance, with the duo setting the dance floor on fire. It is to be noted that there were reports a few months back stating the song from the superstar's classic film two decades back would feature in Varisu and fans will no doubt be waiting with bated breath to see if this is really true.

Varisu has Vijay paired with the national crush Rashmika Mandanna for the first time and their on-screen chemistry is set to be one of the biggest USPs of the film, which is being distributed across Tamil Nadu by Lalit Kumar's 7 Screen Studios banner. The film also marks the first time Thaman has composed the songs and the background score for a Vijay film and the blockbuster music director has so far left fans satisfied with his work.
