Leading Tamil comedian Yogi Babu surprised fans on Saturday by sharing a photo on social media of himself holding a cricket bat, which was gifted to him by 'Thalapathy' Vijay. Posting a picture on Twitter in which he can be seen at his home in full cricket gear along with the bat, the comedy actor revealed that it was a surprise gift from the Tamil cinema superstar with whom he has collaborated in several films over the past few years. Yogi Babu wrote in the caption, "Intha bat aa enaku surprise a kodutha Vijay anna ku thankyou🤝@actorvijay #thalapathyvijayyogibabu". Below is his tweet:

Both Vijay and Yogi Babu have shared screen space on several occasions and will be seen next in the highly-anticipated Varisu releasing in theatres worldwide for Pongal in January 2023. The upcoming film directed by Vamshi Paidipally under Dil Raju's Sri Venkateswara Creations banner will see Rashmika Mandanna playing the female lead, while the music has been composed by Thaman. S. Yogi Babu was first seen alongside Vijay in the blockbuster Velayudham (2011) and later made big appearances in films like Mersal (2017), Sarkar (2018), Bigil (2019), and more recently Beast, which was released earlier this year. With Varisu set to be a wholesome family entertainer, fans expect Yogi Babu to appear once again in plenty of scenes with Vijay. 

Apart from Varisu, Yogi Babu is also a part of biggies like 'Superstar' Rajinikanth's mass action entertainer Jailer and Sivakarthikeyan's sci-fi adventure Ayalaan, which are set for a 2023 release. The comedy superstar also has in his lineup films like the multi-starrer comedy Kasethan Kadavulada releasing on December 23, followed by Prashanth's Andhagan, Saloon with Shiva, and several other ventures. Yogi Babu is a happy man these days as he and his wife Manju Bhargavi were blessed with their second child, a baby girl, back in October. The couple is already proud parents to a son, B. M. Veshagan, who was born in 2020.
