Anirudh proved to be a backbone for the success of Master's success as his songs were released a year prior to the film's theatrical release, which unexpectedly got delayed due to the pandemic and lockdown. The hit composer's songs went on to be received in a spectacular manner as each track in the film was celebrated by fans. Anirudh's songs in Master not only kept the tempo going but also lent colossal support to the film's action-packed entertaining narrative. The film's success has resulted in Anirudh collaborating once again with Vijay for the third time after Kaththi and Master in the upcoming Beast directed by Doctor fame Nelson Dilipkumar, with expectations once again sky-high.

Master, released earlier this year, turned out to be a raging box office money-spinner and revived the theatre business as well as the movie-watching experience considering the pandemic led to the shutdown of many cinema halls across Tamil Nadu. Vijay's electrifying star power in tandem with 'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi's sizzling performance under Lokesh Kanagaraj's direction made Master a memorable film for fans over the past year as it also received a strong viewership after it began streaming on Amazon Prime Video as well. Apart from Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi. Master included an ensemble star cast featuring Malavika Mohanan as the female lead, followed by Andrea Jeremiah, Arjun Das, Mahendran, Shanthanu Bhagyaraj, 96 actress Gouri G. Kishan, Bigg Boss 5 fame Ciby Chandran, among others in pivotal roles.
