Thalapathy vijay makkal iyakkam to organize one day lunch program on world hunger day - Tamil Movie Cinema News

The All India Thalapathy Vijay Makkal Iyakkam (TVMI) has been involved in various philanthropic activities over the years and has now announced that it will be organizing a 'One Day Lunch Program' on World Hunger Day, Sunday, May 28, for the poor and the needy across the 234 constituencies in Tamil Nadu at 11 a.m. The news was shared on behalf of Tamil superstar Vijay by the TVMI Secretary Bussy Anand in an official press release, which also stated that the 'One Day Lunch Program' will also be followed in Puducherry, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Maharashtra.

This latest announcement from the Thalapathy Vijay Makkal Iyakkam has come at a time when there have been strong speculations suggesting the Tamil actor is laying the seeds for his political entry in the future. Recently, there were reports stating that Vijay was planning to meet the top three students from each of the 234 constituencies who came out with flying colors in their 10th and 12th-grade Tamil Nadu board exams. Last year, the Thalapathy Vijay Makkal Iyakkam also launched an eye donation app called the 'Thalapathy Vijay Vizhiyagam' about which the actor also spoke about during the Varisu audio launch in Chennai.

On the work front, Vijay is at the peak position in his career and tasted massive success with Varisu earlier this year, which grossed more than Rs. 310 crores at the worldwide box office. The actor is currently busy filming the highly-anticipated Leo under Lokesh Kanagaraj's direction featuring music by Anirudh Ravichander, which is scheduled to open in cinemas on October 19 as a grand Ayudha pooja treat. The upcoming gangster venture is also their second film together after the 2021 money-spinner, Master, and expectations are huge for the trio to come out firing on all cylinders. Vijay's next big film, the tentatively titled Thalapathy 68, was announced last week taking fans by surprise, with the actor revealed to be collaborating with blockbuster filmmaker Venkat Prabhu for the first time. The film also marks the second-time association for Vijay with production giant AGS Entertainment after their 2019 smash hit, Bigil, while also being the second occasion composer Yuvan Shankar Raja jas joined hands with the superstar after Pudhiya Geethai in 2003.
