'Thalapathy' Vijay's Varisu is the one film that everyone is talking about as fans have begun counting down the days for its release. Scheduled to come out as a grand Pongal release in January 2023, the upcoming film is directed by Telugu filmmaker Vamshi Paidipally under blockbuster producer Dil Raju's Sri Venkateswara Creations banner and features music by chart-topping music composer Thaman. S. With promotions already underway, director Vamshi has now revealed that the 'Soul of Varisu' song released on Tuesday, December 20, is in fact Vijay's favorite track in Varisu. 

Releasing the 'Soul of Varisu' song on social media today and dedicating it to mothers everywhere, Vamshi revealed that the track is the heart of Varisu, while also complimenting the film's music director Thaman and lyricist Vivek. The hit director further went on to reveal on Twitter that the song is Vijay's favorite track, which has been sung by legendary singer K. S. Chithra, and is high on emotion and sentiment. The 'Soul of Varisu' song has been promoted extensively by the Varisu team and we can expect it to feature at regular intervals in the story as the film has been stated on several occasions to be revolving around the theme of family bonding. The buzz for Varisu is huge and the advance ticket bookings for the film have already begun overseas, especially in the U. K. where distributors have been giving positive feedback. The film will see Vijay paired with Rashmika Mandanna for the first time and the excitement among fans is huge as fans have wanted to witness their on-screen collaboration for quite some time now. Lalit Kumar's 7 Screen Studio is distributing Varisu across Tamil Nadu and the film's audio launch is set to take place in Chennai in the next few days, with fans now waiting with bated breath for the announcement.
