'Bollywood Baadshah' Shah Rukh Khan on Tuesday wished 'Thalapathy' Vijay and the team of the Tamil superstar's upcoming venture, Beast, after watching the film's trailer. Taking to Twitter, SRK stated that he along with director Atlee had watched the Beast trailer, while also revealing that he too is a big fan of the actor like the blockbuster Tamil filmmaker. Sharing the trailer of Beast's Hindi version titled Raw, Shah Rukh Khan tweeted, "Sitting with @Atlee_dir who is as big a fan of @actorvijay as I am. Shah Rukh Khan's latest statement is also the first time he has referred to Atlee in his tweet as it has been reported for some time that the duo is working on a film together, which will also mark leading Tamil actress Nayanthara's Bollywood debut, with Priyamani also cast in a pivotal role. The upcoming SRK film is incidentally Atlee's directorial debut in Bollywood and there is a lot of excitement among fans for their collaboration after the filmmaker tasted three massive back-to-back successes with Vijay in Tamil with their Theri (2016), Mersal (2017), and Bigil (2019).
The Shah Rukh Khan-Atlee film has left many mighty excited after it kicked off filming last year. There has been tremendous buzz surrounding the film ever since it was revealed that SRK would be sharing screen space with Nayanthara, who has never been featured in any Bollywood film to date, despite being the reigning queen in South Indian cinema. Furthermore, it has been strongly rumored that 'Rockstar' Anirudh Ravichander has been roped in to compose the songs and background score for the Atlee-SRK film. If indeed true, it would mark Anirudh's second straight Hindi film after his work in the 2013 action film David. Apart from Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara, and Priyamani, the film's cast also includes Sanya Malhotra and Sunil Grover, who will be seen in major supporting roles.
