Thalapathy Vijay's Beast is getting ready for its grand theatrical release this Wednesday, April 13, and the fans are eagerly looking forward to the d-day. The film will have a grand release on a record number of screens across the country. Interestingly, Beast will be released in five different languages - Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada. Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies will release the film throughout Tamil Nadu, while Thalapathy 66 producer Dil Raju will be presenting the Telugu version of the film in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Beast will also have a wide release overseas through various distribution firms.

However, the film has now faced a small setback with regard to its release in one of the foreign countries. If the latest reports are to be believed, Beast will not release in Qatar as its Government has banned the film. Considering the fact that the film deals with terrorism and terrorist attacks, the release of Beast has been banned in Qatar. Beast is already banned in Kuwait for the same reason and now Qatar has also joined the list. This will be a minor setback for Beast as it will miss out on the revenue in those countries. Beast is directed by Nelson Dilipkumar of Kolamaavu Kokila and Doctor fame and has music composed by rockstar Anirudh Ravichander.

Produced by Sun Pictures on a grand scale, the film has cinematography handled by Manoj Paramahamsa while R Nirmal and drk Kiran have handled the editing and art direction respectively. Beast features Pooja Hegde as the female lead and has director Selvaraghavan playing an important role. Beast will have Vijay essaying the character of Veera Raghavan - a RAW agent who needs to rescue innocent people who are held as hostages by terrorists, in a shopping mall. Beast will be an action packed film with a good level of comedy to appeal to all kinds of audiences.
