The next film starring 'Thalapathy' Vijay in the lead role made the project official a few hours back. An announcement video was shared by actor Vijay unveiling the project. The production house has now released its official statement regarding Thalapathy 68. Kalpathi S. Aghoram's AGS Entertainment has said that they will produce the film that will be directed by Venkat Prabhu and music by Yuvan Shankar Raja. they further went on to state that they have teamed up up with actor Vijay for their 25th venture. “The film is to be made on a grand scale and will be directed by Venkat Prabhu. Archana Kalpathi will be the creative producer". The maker has further said after the blockbuster success of Bigil, they have associated with the actor for the second time and This will be their biggest project thus far as it's their 25th venture. They have further said that they have also strived to make “cinema driven by good content and high production values, according to producers, it will be their best film yet.”

AGS Entertainment further went on to say the film that has the combination of AGS, 'Thalapathy' Vijay and Venkat Prabhu, will have music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. They have stated that "Thalapathy 68 is going to be an entertainer that will be loved by all. As. It has the best technicians of global stands and highest prediction values, Cast, crew and title announcement and other updates will be released officially released in due time" and the film is set for release in 2024.

This confirmed that the film will be released in 2024 and the makers are fully involved in their 25th film their biggest blockbuster.
