Announced to hit screens as a Diwali 2019 release, Thalapathy 63, starring Vijay in the lead role is being directed by Atlee under the AGS Entertainment banner with music by A. R. Rahman.
With filming already underway in Chennai, Vijay 63 includes a multi-star cast featuring names like Nayanthara as the female lead, Kathir, Vivek, Yogi Babu, Daniel Balaji, Anandraj among others in vital supporting roles.
Meanwhile, Thalapathy 63’s shoot has been taking place at the reputed Prasad Studios in Chennai with a set resembling the popular Napier Bridge. It must be noted a similar set was seen in the 2016 blockbuster, Theri, which was featured in the mass pre-interval scene with Vijay and ‘Naan Kadavul’ Rajendran.
It will be interesting to see what Atlee and Vijay have cooked up once again and this time once again for Thalapathy 63.
