It has been nearly a month since there had been a Tamil film release as the standoff between the Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC) and the Digital Service Providers (DSPs) has not seen any resolve till date.

Meanwhile, a meeting was held yesterday at the Film Chamber Office regarding the TFPC strike, which saw actors Vishal and Karthi from the Producers Council and the Nadigar Sangam. In addition, director Vikraman represented the Director’s Union along with RK Selvamani for the FEFSI and PC Sreeram for Cinematographers Association.

Post the meeting, Vishal during the press interaction asserted the strike would not come to an end until their demands are met and that they intend to conduct a rally from the Film Chamber Office to the Chief Minister’s Office to present their demands.

Furthermore, Vishal has requested the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and the Minister of Information & Broadcasting to step forward and help find a solution soon to the crisis.
