Telugu actor Dasari Arun Kumar was arrested after his car collided with a two-wheeler at Banjara Hills in Hyderabad on Wednesday night. According to reports, the son of late Dasari Narayana Rao was under the influence of alcohol during his return from the FNCC club, Film Nagar, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad. Arun had reportedly left the place in his car when he accelerated the speed of his vehicle before losing control while en route to Banjara Hills road no 12. The actor's car eventually came into contact with a passing two-wheeler. The car crash was later reported to the local police station by a resident of Syed Nagar named Syed Aptal along with a few other locals. Reports state that four other vehicles too crashed as a result of the accident, with the actor being booked under the section 41A CRPC, with a notice as well being issued to him. No casualties were reported during the incident. 

Dasari Arun Kumar is best known for his appearances in Telugu films like the Akkineni Venkatesh and Naga Chaitanya-starrer Venky Mama, followed by Jagapathi Babu's Samanyudu, Rifles alongside Prakash Raj and Vijayashanti, Orey Thammudu with Srihari, Chandra Mohan and Sanghavi, including Sailaja Reddy Alludu. Arun is the legendary Telugu film director, producer, screenwriter, actor, lyricist, and politician Dasari Narayana Rao, who appeared in several notable films in Tamil, and Kannada languages as well. Rao garnered nationwide recognition after directing many big Hindi films and won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Telugu for his Meghasandesam in 1983. The film was also screened at the Indian panorama, Tashkent Film Festival, and Moscow film festival.
