Director C. S. Amudhan has garnered immense praise for his work with his parody films - Thamizh Padam (2010) and Tamizh Padam 2 (2018). The films starring Mirchi Shiva in the lead role went on to become box office successes and also continue to be a benchmark for many in taking up parody in Tamil cinema, with fans for a while now wondering what topic the filmmaker would take up next. In that light, C. S. Amudhan announced his next film on Thursday, an untitled venture billed to be a crime thriller, under the Infiniti Film Ventures, which will see composer turned actor Vijay Antony in the lead role. It will be interesting to see how C. S. Amudhan steps away from his Tamizh Padam films and moves into new territory with the upcoming project.

Production on Infiniti Film Ventures' production no.3 kicked off with a formal pooja, with details on the rest of the cast and crew awaited in the days ahead. Vijay Antony, who is riding the wave after the success of his Kodiyil Oruvan, has now committed himself to yet another promising venture after his new films titled Pichaikkaran 2 and Kolai were announced recently. It is to be noted that Infiniti Film Ventures had bankrolled Kodiyil Oruvan and are also producing Kolai, which has Vijay Antony paired opposite Irudhi Suttru and Oh My Kadavule fame Ritika Singh.

Vijay Antony, who has been putting up a good show in recent years, tasted big success with his Kodiyil Oruvan, which was the first success after the pandemic's second wave. Outside of his film with C. S. Amudhan, Kolai and Pichaikkaran 2, Vijay Antony's film lineup includes cop ventures like Thamezharasan and Khaki, followed by Agni Siragugal, which has him sharing screen space with Arun Vijay.
